This section of the wiki will be focused on epidemic modelling mainly based on Ordinary Differential Equations. Although the basic principles of modelling infectious diseases were stated long ago by Kermack and McKendrick in 1927, the last years the field is gaining increasing recognition and capabilities, due to the evolution of mathematics, the computational speed and the understanding of the different types of dynamics.

For the moment at this section you can find the Python programs for the Book of M. Keeling & P. Rohani "Modeling Infectious Diseases in Humans and Animals". The Python programs with the underlying equations and the results can be found at the page Python_Programs_for_Modelling_Infectious_Diseases_book. For the background of the equations, more info and the theory you can visit the website at http://modelinginfectiousdiseases.org/.
